Information we collect
When you sign the petition, we collect the information you enter: first name, last initial, city, state, ZIP code, email address, and your confirmation that you support the petition statement. Like most web servers, our hosting provider may also process technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, browser/device information, request time, and server logs.
Why we collect it
We use petition information to record and count signatures, display the public portions of signatures, show state totals, help prevent duplicate or fraudulent signatures, operate and secure the website, and respond to privacy or support requests.
What is public
The petition may publicly display your first name, last initial, city, and state. Your email address and ZIP code are not displayed publicly by this petition page.
Sale, sharing, and advertising
Freedom Again does not sell petition signers' personal information. The petition page supplied with this privacy update does not include advertising or cross-site behavioral advertising trackers. We do not use petition information for targeted advertising.
Cookies and browser storage
The privacy control on this site uses browser storage to remember whether you selected “Essential Only” or “Allow Optional.” Essential storage may be used for site security and basic operation. No optional analytics or advertising tracker is included in the petition page supplied with this update. If optional tracking is added later, it should not run until the appropriate privacy choice has been made.
If your browser sends a recognized Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, this site's privacy-control script treats it as an Essential Only choice for optional tracking.
How long we keep information
We keep petition information only as long as reasonably necessary for the petition, record integrity, duplicate prevention, security, and applicable legal obligations. Server/security logs may be retained separately by the hosting provider according to its own retention practices.
Service providers
Information may be processed by service providers that are necessary to host, secure, maintain, or operate the website and database. They may receive only the information needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the site, its users, or legal rights.
Your privacy choices
You may contact Freedom Again to ask about personal information associated with your petition signature, or to request correction or deletion where applicable. Some information may need to be retained when reasonably necessary for security, legal obligations, or record integrity.

California privacy notice
For California visitors, the categories collected directly through the petition form are identifiers/contact information (name, email, city, state, ZIP) and the petition-support selection. These are used for the purposes described above. Freedom Again states that it does not sell or share this petition information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
California privacy laws apply differently depending on the type and size of an organization and its data practices. This policy is intended to clearly explain this site's practices and is not a representation that every provision of the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to Freedom Again.
Changes
If our data practices materially change, this policy should be updated before the new practice begins. The updated date at the top of this page will identify the current version.
