Work Should Provide Security
A good job is more than a paycheck. It should give people a reasonable chance to pay their bills, care for their families, save for emergencies, and plan for the future.
Freedom Again supports policies that encourage stable employment, stronger wages, safe workplaces, and opportunities for people who want to work.
Protect American Workers
Economic growth matters most when working families share in it. Policies should encourage employers to create and keep good-paying jobs in the United States, support small businesses, and strengthen communities that have lost jobs or investment.
Training and Opportunity
Not every good job requires a four-year college degree. Apprenticeships, skilled trades, technical education, community colleges, and employer-based training can create strong paths into dependable careers.
Workers should have opportunities to learn new skills as technology and industries change.
Where We Stand Today
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the national unemployment rate was 4.1% in July 2026, while nonfarm payroll employment changed little that month. BLS also reported median weekly earnings of $1,251 for full-time wage and salary workers in the second quarter of 2026.
Those numbers show why job quality matters along with the number of jobs: Americans need employment that keeps pace with the real cost of living.
Good jobs, stronger communities, and real opportunity should be at the center of economic policy.
What We Support
We support policies that encourage good-paying jobs, protect workers from unfair treatment, strengthen small businesses, expand apprenticeships and technical training, and make it easier for people to build stable careers without taking on unnecessary debt.
